Goodreads reader review:
Frogs and Fog is for anyone that likes to drink in a fun linguistic adventure while unraveling long lost secrets. The only con for me is that I have to wait for the next book…. This was delightful. I actually stopped and just smiled and chuckled throughout it.
Book 1 in the WordBound series.
Rea List is called back to Murkmire Manor after a decade away due to the death of matriarch Stilet Toes.
Nothing is simple in the Manor: A cryptic letter from the grave, mysterious photos and a missing triplet, along with a murder all keep Rea busy.
Helping her is David the Cook, Nove List her brother detective, Aunt Mystica with prophecies and tea leaves, along with Winkle the galah cockatoo.
Anyone could be the killer when a murder is exposed. Rea worries it could be her knife-sharp Aunt Ve Toes, or one of her daughters, the Poison Twins Toma and Pota Toes, or even one of her own Family. Everyone has a secret or something to hide.
Rea discovers that the Families are part of an ancient group known as the Spiral. And they have plans for Rea.

Verdant Gathering
Book 2 in the WordBound series.
Rea List, along with Aunt Ve Toes, David, Maid and Winkle, travel to the remote jungles of South America for the Gathering.
Families from all over the world have congregated here for the Trials of the Heirs. Intrigue and deception are the name of the game as Families vie for power.
Rea is new to this world of resonance and tone that the Families all know; her Family hid that knowledge for generations.
Who can she trust? The songbird Dulci More, all smiles and charm? Mo Ment, master of timing? Young Guid Ance, quietly observing and carving totems? Dar Ling, foodie with ninja training?
The Families and the Trials will test Rea and her companions to their limits. Threats are everywhere, including from within her own team.
