The Spiral is one of the forces opposing our heroes in Murkmire – not just a symbol, but a way of thinking. It is born from the idea that the world should be straightened, ordered, and corrected until every path is a line and every life fits the pattern.
Inspired by designs where rigid square blocks are stacked to create the illusion of a smooth spiral, the Spiral’s philosophy is full of contradiction. It seeks perfect linear structure, yet defines itself with a circular name. It wants everything to be simple, but its rules twist tighter the longer you follow them.
Here, the Triumvirate rule without challenge. Cadave Rous, Totalita Rian, and Desp Otic are the heads of the Spiral. Many lower leaders and soldiers are scattered throughout the world, including Decarch Omni Vore.
